Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded on your device when you visit the Akelius website and which allows the website to recognize and remember its users, their actions and preferences.
Some of the cookies that we use are not necessary for the website to work. However, they will provide you with a better browsing experience. As you enter our website, you are asked if you wish to consent to our use of cookies. You can always prevent and delete cookies. This may however affect the website, its features and functionality.
What kind of cookies do we use and why?
We use preference cookies, advertising cookies and Google’s analytics tool on our website. These cookies are placed on your device by our website. In addition, we use Google Analytics Advertising Feature, Remarketing, which contains third-party cookies (see further information below).
The preference cookies contain a unique ID that helps the website to remember information, such as your login credentials and preferred language, and to offer personalized content. We use advertising cookies to offer customized advertising to each user based on their previous browsing history, such as viewed pages and clicked links. Advertising cookies may also be set on the domain of our website, to measure interactions with other ads on our website and to prevent the same ads from being shown to you too many times.
We use Google Analytics that helps us see how our visitors move around on our website and reports website usage statistics, for example which sites on our website that are most visited, what problems the users may face on the website and whether or not our advertising is effective. Google Analytics gives us an overall view over the use of our website and enables us to develop and improve the website.
Lastly, we also use Google Analytics Advertising Feature, Remarketing, on third party websites within Googles search- and display network, that enables us to segment our audience of past website users and display relevant ads based on the actions of the users on our website.
Information about Google’s use of cookies and collected data, and how you can control the information sent to Google, can be found here:
How to prevent and delete cookies
You can delete all cookies from your devices and set your browsers to prevent cookies from being placed on your devices. You can opt-out of the Remarketing feature through your Ads Settings and the NAI’s consumer opt-out, see
